Subscription Advantage Packs for Autodesk 2012 Software Released
As expected previously, on September, 27 Subscription Advantage Packs for Autodesk 2012 Software line was released. Maya 2012 SAP, 3ds Max 2012 SAP, Mudbox 2012 SAP and Softimage 2012 SAP already available and can be downloaded by Subscription program members in Autodesk Subscription Center.
Five software packets of 2012 line, including Maya, 3ds Max, Softimage, Mudbox and Smoke, received very few, but pretty useful and interesting new features.
Maya 2012 SAP received announced at Siggraph'11 integration with Bullet Physics, Allembic Point Caching system and new Node Editor. Take a quick look at new features in following video presentation by Autodesk:
3ds Max 2012 SAP received updated render passes system with new visual interface, enhanced interoperability with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects, ActiveShade system for iray, .NET support in 3ds Max Design 2012 SAP SDK. For details I suggest to watch video below:
Softimage 2012 SAP got enhanced modeling and selection tools, integration with Bullet Physics, better control for animation and scene management, some ICE improvements.
And finally — Mudbox 2012 SAP. This software packet received pretty promising Gigatexel Engine, support for edge smoothing and creasing, ability to combine Bump and Normal maps into single Normal map, better tiling possibilities and geometry flip feature.
